Chocolate Phenomenon
The Chocolate Phenomenon is a characteristic of some candies to grant adventures (sometimes) when consumed. The distinguishing details are a usable item that does not increase your Fullness, Drunkenness, or Spleenness, and can be consumed without limit, but which grants extra Adventures for the first few consumed per day. The first item in the game to exhibit this was the fancy chocolate, from the 2005 Crimbo Advent Calendar. The first granted 5 Adv, the second 3 Adv, and the third 1 Adv, after which no more Adventures are obtained.
Since then new items have been added with the same characteristic, some of which share the chocolate usage counter, and some of which have their own. The counter named from the message after reaching your daily limit (emphasis added):
- You didn't enjoy that chocolate at all.
- You feel a slight tingle in your gullet, but apart from that, the nanobots pretty much don't do anything for you.
- You're getting a little nauseated from all the tobacco you've eaten today.
- You let the space chocolate melt in your mouth space, not in your hand space.
- You pop the chocolate sculpture in your mouth and let it dissolve. Take that, art!

Halloween Class Chocolate
All of the Halloween class chocolates:
- Give fewer Adventures than other chocolate items
- Will not be consumed if they will not grant Adventures
- Give full (3, then 2, then 1) Adventures to players of the same class as the item
- I.e. the chocolate disco ball gives full adventures to Disco Bandits
- Gives 1 less Adventure (2 then 1) to players of an inappropriate class
- Are available by Trick-or-Treating in one of the Legendary Regalia outfits obtained during the Nemesis quest.
- All of the Legendary Regalia outfits contain Quest Items, so you can not ascend and keep the full outfit.
- Can (theoretically at least) be obtained in Bad Moon.
