Forget Not That I am an Ass
As you wander the back streets of BorderTown, you are once again accosted by a little boy with a box full of gum.
"Quieres chicle?" he asks.
"Look, kid, I know you need to make a living and all, but I don't --"
Before you can finish, you hear someone shouting in the distance. Shouting, specifically, that "it's time for the donkey show!"
"Me encanta el donkey show!" the kid shouts, then drops his gum and runs toward the shouting. You watch him disappear into a building, and wonder what kind of parent would let their kid watch that kind of a show. Then you see a small donkey come running out of the building at top speed, casting terrified glances over his shoulder.
"Piñata, piñata!" he mumbles, as he runs by. "What the heck is a piñata?"
You watch a crowd of kids holding baseball bats run by after the donkey, then pocket a pack of the chicle kid's gum. It doesn't look like he's coming back for it, and you figure you earned it.
Your ten-leaf clover disappears in a puff of smoke.

- The adventure title is a line by Dogberry from Much Ado About Nothing.
- A "Donkey Show" is a well-known show (often associated with Tijuana) in which a woman performs a sex act with a donkey.
- The "What the heck is a piñata?" bit is based off of what Eddie Murphy's character Donkey from the Shrek movies says in Shrek 2 when Shrek asks him to think of the saddest thing in his life: "Then this fool had a party, and he had all the guests trying to pin the tail on me. Then they all got drunk and start beating me with a stick, going 'Piñata! Piñata!' What is a piñata, anyway?"
- The donkey show, the ass escaping from the show, and the adventure's title may all be references to Apuleius' The Golden Ass, direct or mediated by the previous references.
