hostile plant You're fighting a hostile plant

You encounter one of the smallish plants that dot the landscape of this alien world, and it waggles some of its leafy parts at you in what is clearly a gesture of violent intent.

Hit Message(s):

A viny tendril whips out of some unseen crevice of the plant and whips you in the <face>.Ow! Ow! Ow! Eek! Ugh! Ow! Ugh! Ow! Ooh! Oof!

You accidentally inhale some spores from the plant and sneeze so hard you pull a muscle.Argh! Eek! Oof! Ow! Ouch! Ooh! Eek! Ow! Eek! Ooh!

Critical Hit Message:

You cut yourself on an unexpectly sharp part of the plant. Argh! Oof!

Miss Message(s):

The plant lurches toward you. Actually, wait, no, you lurched toward it. It only looked like it was moving.

The plant just sits there, not doing anything.

The plant swings some thorny bits at you, but you avoid damage by taking a single step backward.

After Combat

Occurs at Through the Spacegate.

  • This monster's Attack is based on the Player's Moxie+10 and Defense is Player's Muscle+10. However, the Spacegate's first letter will also add an additional 25X, where X is the difference between the first letter and A. (Thus a Spacegate starting with B will be Player Stat+35, while a Spacegate starting with Z will be Player Stat+635.)
  • Cannot be stunned.
  • After combat, with a botanical sample kit:
You pull some sampling tweezers out of your botany kit and delicately take a sample from the plant's core. The nerds back at the facility are gonna love this!
