|
This is a blade on a chain, designed to be switched rapidly from one hand to the other, or behind your back, over a shoulder, or whatever. It's kind of like nunchuku, only there's only one heavy part, and it's pointy. (In-game plural: Mer-kin switchblades) |

You swing the switchblade around your head, under one arm, and through <it> for X damage. BOINK! BIFF! BIFF!
You wrap the switchblade around one leg, hop over it as it uncoils, and kick the pointy end at <it> for X damage to <it>, and miraculously none to you. WHAMMO! WHAMMO! SMACK!
Your switchblade is sharp enough to stab another hole in the sky, but you just stab a hole in <it> instead, for X damage. POW! KERBLAM! BARF!
You won't switch the blade on the guy in shades, oh no, but you'll hit <it> for X damage with your switchblade. ZOT! ZAP! SPLAT!
You sling the switchblade around like a blender on frappé, miraculously avoiding yourself and hitting <it> for X damage. BOINK! BIFF! POW!
- Weapon-Specific Critical Hit Message:
You shout, "GET OVER HERE!" and sling the switchblade at <it>. The blade sticks in <its> <part>, and you drag <it> over and beat X points worth of damage out of <it>. POW! WHAMMO! POW!

- The defining characteristic of an actual switchblade is not that it is on a chain, but that its folding blade is opened automatically by means of a spring.
- The critical hit message refers to Scorpion's signature rope spear throw from Mortal Kombat.
