It's made from vinyl ore and a tarnished metal ring, smithed. Can't verify if a skill is needed or not, i have them all.

The description is most likely a reference to the concept of musicians "selling out" upon signing some sort of recording contract and no longer being independent. --Journe 18:12, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
