Not a Star Wars reference?
We're really having an edit war over a shield generator on a moon referencing Star Wars? 9 out of the 10 first hits for "shield generator moon" on Google are Star Wars refs, and the 10th isn't even talking about a shield generator on a moon! What else would this be referencing? --Fxer 20:52, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
- maybe NOTHING? everything isn't a referenced to something and there is nothing further than its a generator on a moon suggesting it even is a reference to anything and its pure coincidence. where did you expect jick to put the shield generator in and area of 2 moons and a sub-moon?--Ganomex 21:47, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
- So we're on the same page, your previous comment and stance that there are too many other instances of shield generators on moons in popular culture: "Yes becuase starwars is the ONLY thing with a shield generator on a moon, riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight" has changed to the shield generator on a moon doesn't reference anything at all? Despite the fact that KoL uses Star Wars refs constantly (Bone star, Pygmy bugbear shaman, Photoprotoneutron torpedo, swamp duck...)? --Fxer 22:00, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
- no my statement is a shield generator on a moon is not enough to call it a reference if maybe they mentions something ANYTHING from starwars in the zone yes id say its a reference but as its stands its JUST coincidence that its on a moon, there really is no place else it could have been, as for the monsters they are references to the alien series I'm done arguing with you--Ganomex 22:18, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
- Also ewoks are cute fuzzy things not terrible monsters --Ganomex 22:20, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

Finally decided to go ahead and ask the radio show whether or not it is truly a reference --Ganomex 20:51, 7 October 2011 (CEST)
Not a Portal reference
I really dont think this is a portal reference just because it says 'im in space'. --Nixaguy 21:18, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
It clearly is. The url of the page being spaaaace.php also a clear indicator. And it's "Dad, I'm in Space!", which is what the space cube talks about. His dad being proud. bumcheekcity 21:39, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
It's a personality core, not a sphere. :P --Toffile 21:43, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
On an entirely different note, isn't the Hamburglar some McDonalds character or something? --Lizardking 23:33, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
- Yes. The devteam's actually called the minimoon Hamburlgar or some derivation of such since the comet crashed. This is just the first time in 5 years it was actually officially named in-game though.
Phase vs. Encounter rate
April 8: All survivors, no monsters (Ronald: 4 dark, 1 light, Grimace: 4 dark, 1 light, Hamburglaris: Dark over Grimace light)--Fluxxdog 15:28, 15 May 2012 (CEST)

I accumulated this data over several weeks to ascertain the 1/M rate. Copied to here for posterity.

For Day 3, I confirmed 2 units of Grimace, by examining depleted grimacite equipment. Only "half waning" appeared in Grimacite's description. *(Of course, forgetting that it counts dark segments)
For Day 4, I did the same. *Should now be correct.
Given most recent results, Hamburglar does not seems to affect moonlight. Looking at just lit units of each moon, the percentages have been adjusted.
I skipped Martinus 2 to avoid the holiday that day.
On Bill 1 and Bill 2, I opted to just do Grimace, as 0 and 1 for Ronald had been shown to have 0 aliens, and 4 really needs more data.
Okay, I'm wrapping this. Encounter rate is M/12, where M is the units of moonlight.-Foggy (talk) 14:32, 3 July 2014 (UTC) -Foggy (talk) 21:10, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
