Talk:An Oasis

Just noticed something odd - none of the pages for the various jackets dropped by the beetles mention anything about Torgso Awareness being necessary for them to drop. Is this an oversight, or will they really drop for anyone? (This is my first run, so I'd feel a little uncomfortable changing it myself.) --RaisingOphelia 22:56, 2 March 2008 (CST)

I'm just guessing, based on my observations, that combat frequency will be 100% unless you don't have ultrahydrated.Tuck999 02:44, 26 June 2007 (CDT)

The Oasis monster just dropped a hot date, anyone else get that? --Zen Masta J 15:07, 27 June 2007 (CDT)

  • I did. --RoadLord 02:25, 1 July 2007 (CDT)

It seems that, unless you already have the effect, you'll always get the "Glug, Glug, Glug" adventure first. After that, you will either always get combat adventures, untill the effect (ultrahydrated) is gone, or if you need the manual pages, there is a different frequency. --RoadLord 02:23, 1 July 2007 (CDT)

Actually, that's not true. If you are in the part of the quest that requires the stone rose, that adventure can come before "Glug, glug, glug". --Kenny 04:11, 28 August 2007 (CDT)

I don't know how folks have determined the minimum Moxie required for various monsters, so I'll put in my first two Meat. I've been wandering around here with a 158 without taking any hits at all from the hostiles; if anyone can beat that, feel free to add it in. Also, I'd like to verify the earlier comment--'Glug, Glug, Glug' happens whenever you're not already ultrahydrated.--Qaianna 01:21, 9 July 2007 (CDT)

I won't add it to main article itself, but "Glug, glug, glug" is also overriden by "Mr. Sun Is Not Your Friend." ----Meeeee2222222 17:55, 28 January 2008 (CST)

I just received "A Sietch in Time" from the Oasis. Last adventure says oasis but bottom link says Adventure Again (The Arid, Extra-Dry Desert). - Timemutt 00:17, 6 February 2008 (CST)

  • Then you received it from the Desert. Sounds like your adventure pane didn't refresh. --TechSmurf 00:26, 6 February 2008 (CST)

New clover adventure- Can someone who know coding enter this?

Adventure Results:

Some Things Never Change
You discover a slowly spinning whirlpool on the edge of the oasis, and lean in to get a better look. It's mesmerizing, isn't it? The way the backwater swirls and spirals, spinning around and around and around and...

Wow, looks like you got a little dizzy. Maybe you shouldn't have looked too closely at the backwater swirling. Oh, well. Some things got rearranged in the fall, but you sure feel refreshed now!

You acquire an effect: Ultrahydrated (duration: 20 Adventures)

--Entwhistle 17:23, 18 February 2008 (CST)

I got a hot date from the Oasis Monster too. Anyway to confirm a few matters on HP which is VERY trivial but all the same... The Oasis Monster now has 129- 143? HP, and the blur has 144? HP.--Nyh win 88 06:13, 1 May 2008 (CDT)

Wiki still states that you can reach this place via direct link before opening it, but I just tested it and cannot. Anyone want to confirm and update? --Soshan 17:02, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

ultra-hydrated not needed for worm pages

i just got two worm manual pages without the ultra-hydrated effect, so it seems to be checked before hydration, anyone know if this is true for the stone rose too? --Mikachu 02:58, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

  • It says as much on the main page... Under "Glug, Glug, Glug" --MindlessGames 03:12, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
  • Those aren't non-combats, they are super-likelies so it is known that they are checked before hydration. YES, it is exactly the same for the stone rose. --Bale 07:00, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
  • I'm fairly certain The Oasis isn't needed for worm pages now, since I didn't seem to be getting the non-combats, I went back to the arid desert and got pages as drops from combats there.--Noskilz (talk) 00:40, 6 November 2013 (UTC)

I just got a recommendation that I shouldn't adventure here without 135 mainstat (because I was majorly poisoned). Is this the min required or what is it? — Cool12309 (talk) 17:29, 27 January 2013 (CET)

  • I'm confused. There are no minimum stat requirements for adventuring in zones.--Toffile 17:43, 27 January 2013 (CET)
    • I could adventure here, it just said I shouldn't — Cool12309 (talk) 17:45, 27 January 2013 (CET)
      • "Also, stat requirements on zones are now recommendations, rather than requirements. Zones want to be free! ". Dec 31st Announcement.--Toffile 17:51, 27 January 2013 (CET)
        • Oh, oops. I completely forgot about that. Thanks — Cool12309 (talk) 18:31, 27 January 2013 (CET)
