god nonsense

  • reverted the "god" reference since i didn't (and still don't) see its relevance. "soy=i am" is enough for me. since starwed seems into starting a revert war and not playing nice by bitching on the talk page i take the moral high ground. :p --Evilkolbot 21:46, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
    • Well, A version of YHWH, God's sacred name, is "EhYeh", meaning "I AM". It is said in Exodus 3:14: God said to Moses, "I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.'" So, it's not too much of a stretch, especially with it being relatively popular to call Jesus "The Great I AM." It's even more apparent when you see that the description says "but you can call me "SOY" in caps, just like the NIV denotes usage of the word "EhYeh" by putting "I AM" in caps. --Orochidp 23:10, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
    • Eh, didn't add a comment since I felt that expanding the reference was explanation enough.  :P If it were just "I AM" it might be a bit tenuous, but the particular phrase "The Great I Am" got enough google hits to convince me.--Starwed 16:16, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
