MAHI Fez

Isn't the Fez a custom item? Lord Sonny 18:32, 8 May 2006 (CDT)

Redone page to use total damage absorption (power+bonus) rather than just the bonus! Also added in % of damage reduced.--D0om 19:31, 1 January 2006 (Central Standard Time)

if moxie helps damage absorbtion, shouldn't we include accesorys that help moxie? or are there other damage absorbtion accesorys? this page seems like it needs work.--A and m 08:39, 1 March 2006 (CST)

Only normal and above could have a Gnauga hide buckler, the Apathetic players can wear Cola Shields and Turtle Tamer Bucklers. The off-hand Damage Absorption is 30-40 for them ( I can't change it, 'cause I don't know how to create/edit tables ) --Fernando Bono 16:09, 5 April 2006 (CDT)

Moxie effect on Absorption

  • I am very confused on the effects of moxie on damage absorption. If it does indeed affect absorption then other items that give high moxie should be added to the page as the MAHI Fez has already been created (That only gives moxie). --SomeStranger 13:26, 29 March 2006 (CST)
  • Moxie does not affect damage absorption at all. (It does affect the amount of damage that a monster will deal to you, but absorption affects how much of that damage you actually take.)--Hellion 16:24, 5 April 2006 (CDT)

Wait, shouldn't TT's power doubling skill be in here?

If it doubles power, then it effects absorbtion and should probably be in the table Linkman95 18:59, 11 April 2006 (CDT)

It is on the table, halfway down, between "Accessory 3" and "Astral Shell". --IMJack 19:21, 11 April 2006 (CDT)

SC skills are ascender level?

Wouldn't the SC skills be considered normal (even apathetic) ways to increase your damage absorbtion? They seem quite easy to get (although I guess not for all classes).. --Ninjapinko 19:08, 3 February 2007 (CST)

Never mind, I just read the 'maximising...' main page on the categories. Still seems wonky to me, but I suppose this is a case of RTFM... --Ninjapinko 19:21, 3 February 2007 (CST)

Brawnees Anthem. also, the problem with antiques

Since brawnee's anthem is damage reduction rather than absorption, it shouldn't be in this chart. Also, since antiques break, they're not very practical for adventuring in. Maybe there ought to be some mention of this, with plexi equipment given as an alternative for the "villa/diety" types, since it's the next best in terms of DA alone (and is better generally when consitering other factors besides just DA).--Dead guys watch 05:28, 14 April 2007 (CDT)

Damage reduction

Why don't we also put damage reduction on here? It seems silly to not have a shield in the off hand slot just because its reduction and not damage absorption.

--Univector llama 02:31, 25 April 2007 (CDT)

  • The reason is simply that they aren't the same thing. Perhaps someone that maxes Damage Absorption isn't looking to have the secondary task of their outfit be reduction. It might be that they would rather max out HP bonus with the remaining slots. By leaving slots empty that have no DA item, it lets the player decide for themselves how they will customize their outfit. --Golianor 02:43, 12 July 2007 (CDT)

Tiny plastic Ed the Undying

Someone should add Tiny plastic Ed the Undying (+30) to this list for Deity and Villa, and maybe Ascender. --BaruMonkey 14:58, 20 December 2007 (CST)

Shirt

Bronze Breastplate is easy to acquire and has a DA of 20.

Oscus' Flypaper Pants

These pants have a power of 200 and also +50 DA. definitely the best pants.--Alabit 19:15, 3 September 2008 (CDT)

Sponge Equipment

Someone should consider adding the sponge pants, helmet and shield since the helmet has a +40 DA bonus in addition to it's 200 power. --IridescentFUZZ 15:10, 25 November 2008 (IST)

  • Yes, that should be done. I'm busy with the cuddlefish, otherwise I'd do that now. But, yeah, on the to do list. But hopefully someone beats me to the punch. --Flargen 09:58, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

Ancient Helmet

The Antique helmet doesn't provide any Damage Absorbtion. I read the item description. --trekkie626 06:22, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

  • Actually it does the power your armor is the number given for most of the damage absorption. --Chunky_boo 06:29, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

- Please add the following items to the list ... hats: eelskin hat, ganger bandana, moist sailor's cap, nurse's hat, straw hat, stone baseball cap ... shirts: mer-kin breastplate, sea salt scrubs, bronze breastplate ... pants: eelskin pants, pink pinkslip slip ... off-hand items: mer-kin roundshield, teflon shield, velcro shield, vinyl shield ... thanks in advance -- AvangionQ / April 8th, 2009

Greatest American Pants

Shouldn't they be listed as 100+500 (the pants power is 100, the skill buff is +500)? --Coderanger 18:41, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
