So... anyone willing to spend a Mr. A to find out what it does? --King_ofthe_Dunedain 22:31, 31 March 2006 (CST)

I just did. It's basically useless, a good April Fools item. It's similar to tome of snowcone summoning, except instead of summoning snowcones, it summons "gag" items. Here are the three I got on my first pull:

Whoopee.gif whoopee cushion

Clownham.gif clown hammer

Vomitjar.gif fake fake vomit

--Gothhenge 23:00, 31 March 2006 (CST)

the clown hammer seems col though "squeak" and the extra hand is funny:) something similar was proposed in the forums no? the "extra accessory accessory" or something.--King_ofthe_Dunedain 23:56, 31 March 2006 (CST)

Does this disappear after use like the tome of snowcone summoning?--Cowdude101 06:08, 3 April 2006 (CDT)

  • Yep. --Ricket 06:47, 3 April 2006 (CDT)
  • Any particular reason the items that the spell creates are not able to be sold in the mall? I was lookin foward to making some major money off this.--Froggy7384 23:24, 3 April 2006 (CDT)
    • So that it doesn't benefit scammers (e.g. Rubber Emo Roe being confused for a real one) is a likely reason; also, the nature of the item (and its real-life analogue) makes it plausible that they are only Gift Items.
  • They're Gift Items, which can only be gifted, not sold. --Hellion 09:05, 4 April 2006 (CDT)
  • Any chance these will be used for something in the future, or will they forever had almost no purpose?

As far as uses go, the Dev team could think of a few more Tower Mini-bosses that some of the items could be used on, but that's just speculation, plus it would probably require some changes in Tower Combat Mechanics (i.e. equipable items kill the Mini-boss instead of combat usable items...?) --Animus 13:50, 4 April 2006 (CDT)

  • Dev team wouldn't do that, as that would make it impossible for new players to ascend hardcore. Also, on the Monday night J&S show last night they mentioned that they would forever be useless, but left open the possibility of coming out with additional useless items. --jin 13:55, 4 April 2006 (CDT)
    • Yeah, Skully pretty much said they really should come up with more useless items to be summoned by the skill and Jick seemed to think that was probably a good idea. --Veistran 15:32, 4 April 2006 (CDT)
      • Great. I spent money on a useless item. :( --Froggy7384 22:09, 4 April 2006 (CDT)
  • The item works exactly as advertised so I don't understand why you think its useless. If you're upset about it not being a great meat making opportunity like the emo roe, I'm going to paraphrase the J&S show from monday, "its called speculating for a reason" and "it wouldn't be a surprise if it was the exact same april fools joke as last year." --Veistran 22:42, 6 April 2006 (CDT)

Does anyone think that prices will skyrocket when May comes around like Tome of Snowcone Summoning did?

  • Since all the items are tradeable I somehow doubt this will be the case.--SomeStranger (Talk | Contribs) 17:47, 22 April 2006 (CDT)

New Use

I already have a bookshelf, but I can use one of these without having a problem. --Lxndr 22:49, 3 January 2008 (CST)

New use message:

You carefully place the Grimoire on the bookshelf in your campsite.
