What's a Food Drop? Or is Meat Drops meant?--MrFurry 19:32, 18 March 2006 (CST)

I've forgotten where I read this, but it's apparently any food item (from the 'food' section of the inventory) and any cooking ingredient that's consumable on its own. --Mulvaney 19:47, 18 March 2006 (CST)

I'm guessing this affects beverages such as goat's milk and maple syrup too, right? --Azimuth 21:48, 10 June 2006 (CDT)

I think beverages are affected by this, because they are technically considered food. --wexer9 18:47, 5 August 2007 (CDT)

  • Passing by a year later due to the white rice discovery, and figured I'd note that in a recent radio show (some time in the past few months anyway) Jick was asked a similar question. His response was that the glass of goat's milk is flagged as a beverage, and the +item drops for food only looks at things flagged as food. He also mentioned possibly fixing it some time. As it stands now, the milk and maple syrup are the only beverages that drop from combats; the others have different sources. --Terion 04:48, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
