Interestingly, and perhaps not for long, The Luter is putty-able. --Fig bucket 02:01, 16 February 2012 (CET)

With no +ML, he didn't die on my first swing of 82 damage. A critical of 130 finished him off putting him at between 83 and 210 HP. After the fight I received this for substats with a Lv 3 crumhorned Clancy & using Mighty Axing: You gain 13 Muscleboundness. You gain 7 Magicalness. You gain 4 Chutzpah. I had 85 muscle / 47 moxie and he was smacking me for about 30 damage a round (and got the jump), so prepare accordingly.--Demon llama 17:28, 16 February 2012 (CET)

I got a miss message about Clancy throwing himself around the Luter's legs, so that may be the fumble and mean that the hit message of him lunging for the lute and falling on you is the crit message. --Terion 03:29, 19 February 2012 (CET)

He just pwned me; I hit him all of once. Looking forward to the spades getting more info on this guy so I can better tell when to attack him.

Oh, and I totally missed the MLK reference (I was going "Martin? Martin? Weird choice of name") until I saw it on the page. Reminds me of a time I was riding the bus with my 7-year-old nephew, and he tried to tell me about "King Martin, who made it so Black people could sit in the back of the bus." @ +10 ML, Intimidating Bellow deleveled by 12 (13 on my initial run, but I didn't record ML at the time...was probably either +10 or +30). Conservatively (I'm not sure of how the skill rounds yet), 12 would mean an attack in the range (73,83]; without the 10 bonus ML that puts this run's luter in the range of (63,73]. That needs some tightening, but it's a start.--Jambosque 05:53, 23 February 2012 (CET)

  • Also, the luter's HP<=124 @+10 ML...took him in a single mighty axing.--Jambosque 05:57, 23 February 2012 (CET)
  • Spading has led me to believe that Intimidating Bellow rounds down, so I can tighten up the potential attack range to [80,86]. Accounting for the 5% variance, [80/1.05,86/.95]=(76,90]. Subtracting the 10 +ML, I get (66,80].--Jambosque 06:35, 23 February 2012 (CET)
  • @ +0 ML, I.B. deleveled by 11. So actual Luter attack seen was [74,80], [74/1.05,80/.95]=[71,84]. [71,84] and (66,80] gives [71,80].--Jambosque 23:06, 29 February 2012 (CET)
    • If anyone in softcore or aftercore can manage +100 ML against the luter, getting 24 (attack=71), 25 (attack=[71,78]) or 27 (attack=[75,80]) would be an immediately useful result. More +ML would be even better...--Jambosque 23:18, 29 February 2012 (CET)
    • Same test, 11 again. I might have to vary the ML a bit. Or better yet, get the improved bellow for a better resolution...--Jambosque 03:41, 6 March 2012 (CET)
  • @ +30 ML, IB deleveled by 15...so observed attack was [100,106].--Jambosque 06:39, 9 March 2012 (CET)
  • @ +10 ML, IB deleveled by 12 again. Next run, I'll have Louder Bellows in time for L7.--Jambosque 00:29, 14 March 2012 (CET)
  • @ +10 ML, the improved IB deleveled by 25. That indicates that observed attack was [84,86]. [ceiling(.95*84), floor(1.05*86)] gives [80,90], and subtracting the 10 ML yields [70,80]...next time, I'll have to choose an +ML value that splits that range, I guess. Any suggestions?--Jambosque 14:27, 16 March 2012 (CET)
  • @ +30 ML, improved IB deleveled by 31. Observed attack should be [104,106]; [ceiling(.95*104), floor(1.05*106)] gives [99,111]; subtracting the 30 ML gives [69,81], which doesn't improve on what's already known...--Jambosque 21:40, 21 March 2012 (CET)
  • @ +9 ML, improved IB deleveled by 25: so observed attack [84,86]; [80,90] for range; subtracting 9 ML yields [71,81]...which isn't helpful!.--Jambosque 09:25, 24 March 2012 (CET)

Baseless speculation: it's probably 75, isn't it?  :-D--Jambosque 09:28, 24 March 2012 (CET)

  • @ +40 ML, improved IB deleveled by 34. [113,116]; [108,121]-40=[68,81]...yeah, this method isn't useful. Seems like mafia already has it pegged at 75, so someone probably got it using the moxie method.--Jambosque 05:40, 2 April 2012 (CEST)
  • @ +60 ML, 40; @ +75 ML, 45 (twice, no less) ==> [134,136] observed attack with +60 ML & [150,153] observed with +75 ML. Data range not useful...maybe Safety Headphones + ~40 ML would be more helpful.--Jambosque 07:52, 10 April 2012 (CEST)

Is he insta-killed by a holy bomb, batman?--Toffile 15:09, 13 March 2012 (CET) There is a typo in the fumble message: "The the Luter throws Clancy back toward you so the fight can start anew." -- is that in game, too? --Club (#66669) (Talk) 08:21, 3 March 2012 (CET)

This guy has some kind of damage reduction. And is definitely not undead. I went in against him with +30 ML, and I don't know if it has an effect, but while also toting along a full fossilised necklace, he turned my +15 hot and +15 spooky damage to +8 and +8. Naturally, I'm guessing he has 50% reduction on elements. Qaianna 23:02, 1 April 2012 (CEST)
