Talk:Tofu casserole
From TheKolWiki
Isn't the definition of kung fu used in that context "skill in martial arts?"? If so, I think it's correct as a literal translation. --Raijinili 09:36, 12 February 2007 (CST)
- Not really. I don't know exactly how to translate it, but kung fu pretty much just means 'mastery' or something like that. It got connected with martial arts (which it sometimes is, and sometimes isn't) in the west, so most westerners tend to misunderstand the exact meaning. Mere 'fu' doesn't mean much more than 'give', or maybe 'deliver'. "To fu" is just complete nonsense. ...so what says on the page is pretty accurate: comical bastardization. --Andemon 10:07, 12 February 2007 (CST)
