Minor spoiler-warning: In the comic I feel sick #2 (by Jhonen Vasquez) it's revealed, that the psychic lady is not psychic, but her fat is and simply shares its knowledge with her. This item reminds me very much of that scene, but reminds me hasn't been good enough in the past. Can anybody rule out other, more obvious sources?
