How exactly does this skill work? Is it just another damage dealing spell, or is it more complicated?--?

Should we even count this as a spell? Is it affected by bonus spell damage?--Dehstil (t|c) 19:45, 13 August 2006 (CDT)

According to this forum post, it is affected by bonus damage. There are also formulas for the various spells that could be added to their respective pages here, unless there's some reason not to. --cor nocae 20:20, 13 August 2006 (CDT)
The formulas would be awesome. Yeah, the whole this spell does physical damage thing plus it not being affected by codexes confused me.--Dehstil (t|c) 20:24, 13 August 2006 (CDT)

Would elemental spell bonus damage apply to half the spell or the whole?

I'm getting a half-hot Weapon as a Sauceror holding Ol' Scratch's ash can and no flavour spirits active. Looks like it may be not just the elemental cookbooks, but any offhand (or anything at all?) that forces an element type. --Terion 08:22, 12 November 2010 (UTC)

Update stuff

Just posting combat messages, Don't use for damage stuff. I think that that the prefixs are entirly based on the elemental damage dealt and the suffixes are related but you can have a pasta cover two or more types of damage. The weapon is problably random and doesn't depend on the element. Needs some testing of the pure-physical stuff.--Brion thenotgiant 03:12, 8 May 2008 (CDT) Please help

MP cost to cast this was lowered from 35 to 31 today. --Spiny Twizzler 23:56, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

Then why does it say 28? Did someone with spell cost modifers accidentally change it? --Jimfromtx 06:30, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

It was lowered again. Check Unexplained Tremors for some details. --MoreUmlaut 06:37, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

Got the same messages as Brion. I didn't get any of the new materials with a purley-physical Weapon, nor did I get a fourth prefix for sleaze (in about 20ish attacks.)--Agburanar 13:23, 16 May 2008 (CDT)

Efficeincy

this skill ALWAYS has 8 more average damage than saucegeyser. try the formulas to see how.--The ErosionSeeker 14:35, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

  • You sure about that? What happens when you have Flavour of Magic tuned as Spirit of Peppermint, and you also have Immaculate Seasoning (sauce tuner), and, all other things equal, you cast the spells at a Sleaze-aligned monster (like in the HitS)? How about when you have Jabañero Saucesphere active, then the "efficiency" changes, because what you're really concerned with is Net MP cost per unit of damage. How about with a Bandersnatch and Jabañero? What you're really concerned with Damage per MP, not just raw damage, when trying to figure out efficiency. So... what I'm getting at, is "what is the point of your naïve post?" --RoyalTonberry 16:18, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
    • i'm talking about raw Average Damage Per Turn. do the math yourself, because i don't know how to put a table onto the wiki, but all of my calculations have proved so.--The ErosionSeeker 21:36, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
