The Crimbot Factory

The Fully Automated Crimbo Town Toy Factory is located in the 2014 incarnation of Crimbo Town.

Before visiting The Elf Resistance Camp:

You should probably go talk to the elves in that camp before you go poking around in that giant, dangerous-looking factory.

First visit:

You approach the backside of the factory and encounter an elf standing at a computer terminal.

"Hi there," she says, in a tone that's chipper even for a Crimbo elf. "I'm Angelinadriel Circuithacker. The ERF guys told me you were coming."

"And here I am. Now what? Sneak into the factory, sabotage robots, blow up equipment, that kind of thing?"

"Well," she replies, "that's where it gets a little complicated. We can't go in there ourselves, but luckily, I've figured out how to hack into the Crimbot self-assembly facility and deploy telepresence robots to do our dirty work for us."

"Telepresence?"

"Yeah! It's great! You just pick a list of parts from this list, drop a Crimbonium fuel rod into this fuel rod hole, press the button, and then it hooks you up to a robot inside the factory via this control panel over here." She points to a terminal with a display screen and hundreds of cryptically labeled buttons on it. "You can see what it sees, and tell it what to do, all in the comfort of the non-poisonous-gas-filled outdoors."

"And... I'm supposed to figure out how to use that machine?" you reply.

"Well, sort of. When you deploy a Crimbot, only certain buttons will be available to push, based on the Crimbot's capabilities. And you can build better Crimbots by finding new schematics inside the factory. Oh, and if you find any of our personal effects in there, have your bot drop them into a pneumatic recovery tube -- I've hacked the system so that all of that stuff gets redirected to that bucket over there."

"Oh. I was wondering what that bucket was for."

Subsequent visits without a Crimbonium fuel rod:

Angelinadriel Circuithacker stops you as you approach. "Remember, these Crimbots run on Crimbonium fuel rods. You should should go to the mining camp in the desert and get some more. And hey, why not liberate some of our elf brothers and sisters while you're over there?"

With a Crimbonium fuel rod:
