The Even More Dreadful Part of Town
The Even More Dreadful Part of Town

The entirety of this village is pretty crappy now, what with the monster infestation, but you get the distinct sense that this part of town was crappy from the get-go.

All of the manhole covers are missing from the streets, all of the windows of all of the tenements have been broken, and you notice a ramshackle shed that appears to be... ticking.

Pop into the sewers
You hold your nose and climb down into one of the open manholes.
A Dreadful Smell
A Dreadful Smell
  • Unclog the grate: Removes all stench monsters from the zone.
  • Slosh in the muck: 100 turns of Sewer-Drenched.
  • Climb back out: Return to previous selection (Does not use an Adventure)

If you've already done this adventure in this instance:

You approach one of the manhole covers, but the ladder disintegrates as soon as you touch it.

Explore the tenements
You poke through the rubble and go inside one of the more intact tenements.
Eight, Nine, Tenement
Eight, Nine, Tenement
  • Drive out the rats: Fewer skeletons in Dreadsylvanian Castle.
  • Paint over the graffiti: Removes all sleaze monsters from the zone.
  • Move bricks around: Gain X muscle substats.
  • Leave: Return to previous selection (Does not use an Adventure)

If you've already done this adventure in this instance:

Every door slams shut as you approach it. This is just like that time you had that job selling dead skunks door-to-door.

Investigate the ticking shack

As a moxie class:

You Moxiously avoid the elaborate system of booby traps surrounding the shed, and make your way inside.
The Tinker's. Damn.
The Tinker's. Damn.

As a muscle or mysticality class:

You approach the shed. The ticking gets slightly louder, and just as you're reaching for the doorknob, the welcome map flips upward on a spring, tossing you backwards into the street.
Maybe one of your more Moxious clanmates would have better luck avoiding this trap.

If you've already done this adventure in this instance:

You try to walk toward the ticking shack, but find yourself suddenly facing in the opposite direction. Weird.

Use a ghost pencil

(This option only appears with a ghost pencil in your inventory)

You stick the ghost pencil into your head and annotate your mental map of the area. You'll be able to find your way back here really easily now.

Leave

You head off to greener neighborhoods. (Does not consume an adventure)

Occurs at Dreadsylvanian Village.
