When Used

Now that you know the proper way to use a sixgun, you can't go back to the old amateur methods you used to use.
  • Otherwise:
You quickly draw the sixgun and fan the hammer. One of the six shots manages to connect, dealing 5 damage.


  • In a single combat, you can only use one sixgun, and only once per combat. Attempting to use a sixgun for a second time in combat (the same sixgun or a different one) gives the following result:
You already fired a sixgun in this fight, and in all the confusing[sic] you lost track of which one. You'll have to reload all of them later just to be sure.
  • As one of the three Avatar of West of Loathing classes, this combat item can be equipped in the special holster slot using the [holster] link in Inventory. Being holstered does not prevent it from also being used as a combat item (though its use will only do damage in AoWoL aftercore.)
    • When holstered, this sixgun deals 5 base damage when using Shoot and Pistolwhip.


  • The message when trying to reuse a sixgun resembles the beginning of a famous line from the movie Dirty Harry: "I know what you’re thinking: 'Did he fire six shots or only five?' Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I’ve kinda lost track myself."
