Rather than 3:2:2, the update from 3 June 2005 says that the ratio is 2:1:1. link

Um, aren't these stat levels totally incorrect? I haven't written them down this ascention, but I should be a level lower according to these.

Doesn't the Ice Baby do the same thing as Aloysius' Antiphon of Aptitude? --Animus 05:32, 11 March 2006 (CST)

  • The ice baby is +1 to a random stat. Antiphon is +1 to all 3, every time. --Ricket 05:57, 11 March 2006 (CST)

Thanks for clarifying--Animus 05:58, 11 March 2006 (CST)

The number of substat points required to get to stat level X seems to be: X^{2} + X Or, to go from stat level X to stat level Y One needs to earn Y^2 + Y - X^2 - X.

This is a handy formula for figuring out how many more substat points you need to earn to get to a particular level from some random stat level --Xestrel 00:13, 21 March 2006 (CST)

I think that the starting starts aren't correct...it's actually primary 15 substats, secondary 10 substats, and tertiary 5 substats at the very beginning. Treating Stat = int(sqrt(substat)) gives the 3-3-2 starting stats with the given leftover amounts.--Foggy 11:21, 22 June 2006 (CDT)--11:21, 22 June 2006 (CDT)

Is it just me, or do stats depend on Where you fight the monsters? For instance, Degrassi Knoll seem to give me more Muscle Substats than some other places, while Misspelled Cemetary or Fernswarthy's Tower seem to give a higher ratio of Myst substats.. Is it just me or is this the case? --Ferdawoon 19:05, 31 August 2006 (CDT)

Each substat point you get from fighting a monster is individually put through the following logical path: 1. There is a 50% chance the point goes to your primary substat. 2. Otherwise there is a 50% chance the point goes to your secondary substat. 3. Otherwise the point goes to your tetriary substat. --IMJack 16:47, 15 December 2006 (CST)

Is there any distinction between primary and secondary stats aside from the slight difference in starting values? --Psly4mne 12:53, 25 April 2008 (CDT)

Different starting value?

A friend just ascended and his starting values before doing anything: Muscle: 2 (0/5) Mysticality: 1 (0/3) Moxie: 3 (0/7)

As an AT, shouldn't his myst be higher than muscle? And shouldn't each of of those be a little higher? Would HC have an effect? --Almightysapling 22:26, 14 October 2010 (UTC)

I ascended two days ago, and noticed this too... as a Turtle Tamer, I had:

Muscle: 3 (0/7) Mysticality: 2 (0/5) Moxie: 1 (0/3)

Something's definitely changed. Wrldwzrd89 22:54, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
