The 'schoolmarm gymnast' could be a reference to Kim Possible. In the last season, she got a exoskeleton-like powersuit that had blue glowing patterns on it similar to the El Vibrato stuff, and she supposedly gets her fighting skills from cheerleading experience. --CrankyOne 10:57, 11 February 2008 (CST)

Defense Effect

I'm no good at the stat stuff of KoL but I did notice that the exoskeleton effect give's damage reduction (as if it wasn't a little obvious). How much will have to be someone elses figuring out. But from what I saw it's rather a large amount of reduction. The constructs that had been doing 70-90+ damage were doing only 30-50 with the effect.--Blackdragontaz 16:03, 19 February 2008 (CST)

If its Damage Absorption, it's through the roof...about DA +300, which makes it more powerful that any other DA, hat, pant or shirt.

Tested with the gremlins. Moxie's high enough (265) to not be a factor. With just IE, I received 19-24 damage from a vegetable and spider gremlin each. Because I only have 10 turns, I then tried equipped an orange peel hat, duct tape shirt, and mariachi pants. My character has Tao, but no passives. Received 5-7 damage. With just the orange peel hat, received 9-12.

All of these results are consistent with an additional 300 DA bonus. It's possible that it's only 150, and affected by Tao, but that's unlikely. Anyone have a good way to test further?--Foggy 10:49, 2 April 2008 (CDT)

Friederike did some testing with a high level gauntlet, and this does seem to add +300DA: numbers. -QuantumNightmare 09:40, 19 April 2008 (CDT)
