Talk:Silver shrimp fork
So does this use Mysticality to determine to hit?--Practitioner of Saucy Arts
Can you get more than one? How does this work? Hedonia 12:15, 4 October 2006 (CDT)hedonia
I cant equip another weapon, i have the twin weapon skill, anyone else have this problem? User:Poola
- yup. you can equip two forks, or a fork and an off-hand item. you can't equip a fork and any other weapon in either configuration. nice call. --Evilkolbot 13:47, 4 October 2006 (CDT)
- also, if you try to equip a weapon off-hand you get the following error:
- You can't equip a melee weapon with a Mysticality weapon in your off-hand.
- mysticality weapon?
- The equip requirement is myst, not muscle. --DirkDiggler 06:10, 5 October 2006 (CDT)
- doesn't that mean it's not a melee weapon, then? methinks a new category is needed. --Evilkolbot 15:12, 6 October 2006 (CDT)
- But it does still do melee damage, it just requires myst instead of muscle. It even gives bonus melee damage. It's just odd. This and the clockwork staff that is. --JRSiebz (☎|§|‡) 16:44, 6 October 2006 (CDT)
- well, the message says it's a mysticality weapon not a melee one. do ranged weapons do melee damage too? three classes: melee (muscle), myst (myst) and ranged (moxie). seems obvious to me. --Evilkolbot 17:39, 6 October 2006 (CDT)
- Or perhaps the myst type is entirely independent of those. (a melee myst weapon and ranged myst weapon can exist).--Dehstil (t|c) 23:29, 6 October 2006 (CDT)
- you're right, perhaps there are four classes of weapon. since there's so little evidence it's impossible to tell. however, imnsho, your speculation adds another unnecessary level of complexity. gordian knots, and all that. and anyway, even if there were a myst weapon that did ranged damage, there would still be three classes of weapon, one for each stat. --Evilkolbot 03:57, 7 October 2006 (CDT)
- also, if you try to equip a weapon off-hand you get the following error:
I've got to wonder: Why aren't any of the other utensils Mysticality weapons? I can't even dual-wield a pizza cutter and the shrimp fork. ---Unnatural20 01:15, 11 October 2006 (CDT)
This seems to boost the adv and stat gains from eating Pr0n Cocktails... --Kpx107 22:45, 16 October 2006 (CDT)
This post by Jick in the forums (http://forums.kingdomofloathing.com/viewtopic.php?p=2092484#2092484) speaks of a one handed weapon called a chef-stave that will roll out with NS13. These will probably be mysticallity weapons. Maybe the silver shrimp fork happened to be the first in that class and it will be moved in the inventory when the rest are implemented?--Kjacobso 15:23, 15 December 2006 (CST)
Maybe? Possibly?
The line about "rich people are different than the rest of us" could possibly be a refrence to Katamari Damacy. When you roll up the moon, then destroy that moon to replace it with another one the little boy goes "boy, rich people sure are different". --Santasassassin 14:16, 28 January 2007 (CST)
- Unlikely - there are numerous cliches that involve strange things rich people do (in this case, having elaborate sets of eating utensils, each one with its own specific purpose). --Quietust (t|c) 22:04, 24 August 2008 (CDT)
- I can't believe nobody spotted that it's a paraphrase of a famous quotation from Scott Fitzgerald's story "The Rich Boy". --Kay Dekker 01:13, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
autosell price
What's the deal with this? Checking in-game, the description does not have an autosell price. Checking KoLMafia's items.txt, it is listed as having an autosell of 235. Checking the mall, 470 is the minimum price the game will let you price this item, suggesting an autosell of 235. In any case, I suppressed this from Items by autosell price (151-50000 Meat). --Club (#66669) (Talk) 22:35, 28 January 2013 (CET)
- I think that's worthy of a bug report, but I can't log in for a few hours to do it myself. ~Erich t/c 22:51, 28 January 2013 (CET)
- Very well, I reported it. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 23:16, 28 January 2013 (CET)
- Gemelli says: "It used to have an autosell, but it was removed. Just kind of a leftover from a bygone age :)" --Club (#66669) (Talk) 21:03, 29 January 2013 (CET)
